About Bikkgane Biryani

Bikggane biryani in Gurugram (Gurgaon) has seven outlets. Bikkgane in Huda Market, Sector 23, Gurugram (Gurgaon) is closest to me. So I am a frequent there.

Being into fitness, I enjoy balanced meals. Biryanis are a wholesome meal. Therefore I love biryanis, but at some outlets, they are too oily. It is not the case with Bikkgane.

They keep a perfect balance between taste, quantity and cost. Bikkgane Biryani is my favourite biryani outlet.

You can send them love or some constructive feedback through their official website. Visit their Facebook and Instagram pages for regular updates.

My review of Bikkgane Biryani Gurugram (Gurgaon)

Bikkgane Biryani is a fast-growing Hyderabadi food chain in India. They have many outlets in all the major cities in India.

The restaurant has a typical Hyderabadi feel to it. It’s as if you’re eating in a restaurant in Hyderabad itself. Furthermore, the place is always filled with family and friends. They all seem to be having a good time together.

There is always an excellent festive spirit in their Sector 23 outlet.

Location: Ease of access and surroundings

I have visited the three outlets in Gurugram, and all of them have a good approach. I have not heard any bad experiences in terms of the location of Bikkgane from any of my friends.

The parking was also not a problem. So whenever I am visiting with my friends, there is no hassle.

Like I mentioned earlier, I mostly visit Sector 23 outlet the most. The restaurant has a lively ambience. It has nicely curated interiors.

I don’t know if it’s a coincidence, but I always find someone I already know in this outlet whenever I visit.

Ambience: Look and feel of the place

Our Rating:

The ambience of Bikkgane Biryani is primarily Hyderabadi, but I feel it has a touch of Delhi also. It reminds me of Haveli restaurant in Hyderabad.

The walls are decorated with pictures of historical places in Hyderabad. Some of them are – Char Minar, Golkonda Fort, Taramati Baradari, and Mecca Masjid.

The lighting is good – not too bright or too dark. The chandeliers add an exotic touch, and the music plays softly in the background. It doesn’t distract you from the good times that you would be having with your friends.

There is always a lively crowd there, even on weekdays. So you might have to wait a few minutes to get a table. My recommendation is always to reach a little early from your scheduled time.

Service: Staff and their service

Our Rating:

The staff at Bikkgane Biryani is exceptionally courteous. Their attitude is very positive. They are always willing to make sure that you are having a good time there. So if you need anything then talk to them, and I am confident that they will help you with your ask.

In one such incident, their staff suggested I try out their Chicken 65 biryani, so I ordered it. When the food arrived, I was eating it with a spoon. He came and requested me to eat with my hands if I wanted to get the authentic taste. I tried his suggestion, and trust me; it made the biryani yummy!

Good management will increase your experience in a restaurant exponentially. My kudos to their entire staff. They have been great always.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about their delivery option. Whenever I have ordered from them online during this pandemic, the result has not been consistent. I am not sure why.

I prefer going there and eating rather than ordering from them online.

Our Rating:

Bikkgane Biryani offers a good and varied menu. They have a wide variety of delicacies, and they specialise in all Mughlai dishes. Be it vegetarian, egg, chicken, mutton, or seafood, they have it all.

In biryanis, they have options of Hyderabadi and Andhra biryanis. Handi biryanis are cooked in earthen pots with other spices and saffron. The earthen pot gives the biryani a richer flavour.

Furthermore, they have a “fresh and healthy menu” too. In this section, brown rice is used in the biryani instead of white. I enjoy this offering, as I don’t think any other biryani outlets offer the same.

Bikkgane biryani also has various curries and dal in their main course. They also offer Khubani Ka Meetha, Gulab Jamun and Phirni as desserts. I have never tried these; if you have, let me know in the comments section below.

Pro Tip: If its month of Ramzan, then they offer “Hyderabadi haleem”. Its delicious! you have to give it a try.

Cost: Pricing and value for money

Our Rating:

This is where Bikkgane Biryani gains over other outlets for me. They have a great ROI (return on investment).

There are three size options available for biryanis – half, full, and family. Half-size is ideal for 2 to 3 people, and full size is suitable for four and family size is ideal for 6 to 7 people.

When I am visiting as a party of 4, our orders include:

  • Two Dum Biryani
  • One Curry
  • One Dal
  • Couple of Roomali Roti
  • One sweet dish – Phirni
  • Some beverages.

It costs us around ₹2,500, which comes to ₹600 per person. Which I think is fair as compared to a more expensive place like Biryani By Kilo.

So an average meal for two people should cost between ₹1000 and ₹1200.

Taste: Overall taste and quality of the food item

Our Rating:

The hallmark of a good biryani is the correct balance of spices, rice, and meat. Bikkgane Biryani does a great job of it. They genuinely are into providing an authentic Hyderabadi biryani experience.

Their biryanis have a rich texture, and the good is well cooked. Their chefs have acquired excellent skills in all these years of practice, mastering this recipe.

Raita and chutney served alongside biryani taste amazing! The raita is thick and rich in flavour, and the chutney is freshly prepared.

Paneer 65 is also an absolute delight and a must-try as it is one of their signature dishes.

My friends love their Phirni in the desserts section.

Some of the dishes you should try are – Egg Hyderabadi biryani, Malai Tikka, Tangri Kebab, and Andhra chicken fry.

You will find all their dishes having a great taste of Hyderabad and Andhra in them.

Conclusion and recommendation

I am into fitness, so less oil and fewer spices are my preference. A wholesome meal like biryani is irresistible for me. Bikkgane Biryani is an excellent biryani restaurant in Gurugram (Gurgaon) for me as it checks all my boxes when it comes to a good meal.

I would most definitely recommend visiting Bikkgane Biryani. Right from the ambience down to the taste, everything attracts you to this outlet. You wouldn’t regret visiting this place.

What do I enjoy?

  • The taste and essence match the traditional Hyderabadi style.
  • Even the vegetarian biryani is commendable here.
  • Despite being a biryani joint, they keep a lot of variety in their menu.
  • They deliver their goal of having authentic Hyderabadi biryani.

What can be improved?

  • Their delivery option needs to be more consistent.
  • My friends say that the Khubani ka Meetha doesn’t taste like the authentic dish.
  • During the peak hours the wait to get a table can be frustrating. They should open more outlets.
